I found the CUTEST chalk project on Pinterest recently.    It is a repurposed silver/metal tray painted with chalk paint ~ see my version below.....
Picture
What you need to complete one of these projects is:

- a silver/metal tray
- chalk paint
- printer (to print out lettering)

Below is an example of a tray I found.

Wash the tray thoroughly and apply your chalk paint - let dry and apply your lettering by putting chalk on the back side of the word, place it where you want and trace over the letters.  This will transfer the chalk to the black chalk paint so you can then paint on your letters.   I free hand drew the border.  Easy peasy!!!  I also covered the "Love" tray with a matt varnish.

The clipboard below is 6inx4in and isn't sealed so it can be written on with chalk.  Happy crafting!!!!

This is my newest granddaughter Ryleigh.  She is sporting a handmade hat her grandmother lovingly created for her.  It took me less than 2 hours to make and it is SUPER cute.  I was going to wait to give it to her for Christmas but she needed one now.

Two hours isn't too bad - IF you don't count the time I spent unraveling it because I didn't think it looked good enough.  I am my worst critic.  The pattern has instructions for larger sizes and was very easy.

Here is the link to get the pattern.

This weekend I decided to sort out some of my craft "stuff". I could start a small store. Apparently what happens is I put things away and forget where I put them (I'm get busy) and then go and buy more of the same thing. Sigh..............

I like to give at least one handmade gift for Christmas - SO instead of going out and purchasing more craft supplies, I am going to attempt to use what I have. My plan is to make a "basket of comfort" for each person on my list. <3

The first project is homemade Kahlua, which I started yesterday.  My next post will have the recipe and FREE recipe cards you can download to go with your Kahlua gift!!!

My next project is going to be homemade handwarmers and heating pads.  I'll include instructions and pictures of all the projects!

Peace & Love!
